She Dies Tomorrow Music By Mondo Boys
After waking up convinced that she is going to die tomorrow, Amy’s carefully mended life begins to unravel. As her delusions of certain death become contagious to those around her, Amy and her friends’ lives spiral out of control in a tantalizing descent into madness.
She Dies Tomorrow features original music composed by up-and-coming LA-based composer duo Mondo Boys (Mike Griffin and Mike Schanzlin). The score is a unique hybrid of old and new, the sweeping strings blending seamlessly with elements of classical music (most notably Mozart’s bombast “Requiem, K.626 Lacrimosa” – which the main character, Amy, plays as she wallows through last day on earth) which Mondo Boys put their unique spin on for the soundtrack. Their haunting score pulses throughout the film, heightening the dramatic, dreamlike aura of the characters’ anxiety and fear of mortality.
Of writing for the film, the duo says, “We knew the score had to be able to handle the depth of a true existential crisis, yet not take away from the subtle comedy that is all around the story. We realized with Amy the way to score it, was to just go for a fully indulgent dark opera.”
She Dies Tomorrow is now available in drive-in theaters and on-demand via NEON.
