Mudbound Music By Tamar-kali

Mudbound is a 2017 American period drama film directed by Dee Rees (Pariah, Bessie) and written by Rees and Virgil Williams, based on the acclaimed novel of the same name by Hillary Jordan. It stars Carey Mulligan, Garrett Hedlund, Jason Clarke, Jason Mitchell and Mary J. Blige, and follows a pair of World War II veterans who return home to rural Mississippi and must cope with racism and PTSD in their own ways.
The beautiful film features a string-driven score by upcoming composer Tamar-kali who previously collaborated with Dee Rees on Pariah. The soundtrack features also the original song Mighty River performed by music legend Mary J. Blige.
