Enola Holmes Music By Daniel Pemberton
Directed by Emmy winner Harry Bradbeer, Enola Holmes is a mystery film based on the first book in the Young Adult series of the same name by American author Nancy Springer. Starring Millie Bobby Brown as Sherlock’s cunningly sharp teen sister Enola Holmes, the movie follows Enola as she embarks to London on a quest to find her missing mother all the while outsmarting her world-renowned brother. Enola quickly finds herself unraveling a dangerous conspiracy surrounding a peculiar young Lord.
Award-winning composer Daniel Pemberton is behind the unapologetically harmonic and heart-rending orchestral score. Of his composing process, Daniel says “It’s been a real joy to write music for Enola Holmes and to go back to writing some unashamedly melodic and emotional orchestral music – coupled with a nice level of messy quirky oddness thrown in as well. From my first meeting with Harry Bradbeer the director, we talked about trying to create a score full of themes, mystery and surprise that both encapsulated her character but also took you on her journey. I hope this soundtrack allows anyone listening to it to re-live the first amazing adventures of one Enola Holmes…”
Enola Holmes is now available to stream on Netflix.
