Saint Maud Music By Adam Janota Bzowski

Composer, sound designer and visual artist Adam Janota Bzowski makes his feature-length score debut with A24’s Saint Maud, a chilling and boldly original vision of faith, madness and salvation in a fallen world.  Director Rose Glass’ unholy possession thriller tells the story of Maud, a newly devout hospice nurse who becomes obsessed with saving her dying patient’s soul as sinister forces and her own sinful past threaten to put an end to her holy calling.

Bzowski’s score places audiences within the mind of Maud, delicately embedding itself into her story in a way that leans closer to sound design than score. At times dreamlike and atmospheric and others industrial and darkly foreboding, the experimental quality of the music perfectly encapsulates the unnerving religious horror.
