The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones Music By Atli Orvarsson
Directed by Harald Zwart and based on the first book of The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, City of Bones tells the story of a seemingly ordinary teenage girl, Clary Fray, who starts a quest when a demon attacks her mom and takes her from their home in NYC.The score album features the high-energy music by composer Atli Orvarsson (Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, The Eagle…)
“Atli has been on my radar for a long time and finally we found the perfect project where we could work together. He’s a great talent with both heart and action. So rare in this business. He writes incredibly powerful music where you can feel the Icelandic roots surface and he writes beautiful lyrical pieces where the movie needs that. It’s been so much fun to work with him because although it was an impossible deadline, and lots and lots of changes and notes, he always kept his cool and his great sense of humor. It made finishing the movie such a pleasure and I am very proud of the result.”
